Myer Holdings Ltd has picked up a 65 percent stake in designer fashion house sass & bide for $42.25 million, after rival David Jones walked away from a 10-year partnership with the iconic brand.






The deal gives Myer the exclusive rights to distribute sass & bide in Australia, which will be rolled out in 30 stores over the next 18 months.

Myer says its purchase of the high-end brand, expected to complete in April, is in line with the company's growth strategy and will be earnings per share accretive in 2011/12.
