What to wear this holiday season ...

Just thought I would share with you a Happy Holidays editorial I styled a little while ago.

Bring on 2011 with a lot more challenges, work and new projects and people :)

x

Dress up simple jersey dresses, or plain colours with a metallic or fancy headpiece in a similar colour.

Add texture: add some fur (faux), some slick leather, some thick cashmere, summer is all about cotton which gets very boring very quickly. Change it up!

Get festive. Its ok, you can get away with sequins, sparkles and tassels as they are all so much more mainstream now. Feel free to go get a cocktail dress that looks like you fell in a pot of glitter. Just make sure you let the dress speak for itself and dont load up on accessories. Simple plain black ankle boots offset this perfectly.

Go Christmasy. OK so maybe this post is a little late, but dont be scared to dress head to toe in white, red and black for the Christmas / holiday season, although I would advise against green! Try silver or gold instead.

Try 'Parisian'. This trend will stay strong as lady;like silhouettes and classic style will always be popular. Lace is still a good item to be wearing, and its well worth your while to get some lace items to add to your wardrobe.  This trend will come and go so dont splurge.

Styling Work

I had to do a post on a shoot I did a little while ago for The Jungle
Body.

Tara Franzinelli (founder, instructor and all round go-getter) won the WA
Business Icon award in 2008 and there was no slowing her down. She kicked off
The Jungle Body and is only going up from there.

Commissioned by the awesome Fashion Heir and Monique Varnavides to style her and the lovely Shereice, I have
to take the time to note the incredible enthusiasm from both of them! Doing
several classes a week, both these very fit and toned (yes, I'm jealous) ladies
are so passionate about what they do and I was really inspired by the love that
they so obviously have for their job.

When I have some spare time, I would really love to go and do a class,
they cater for all ages and are in lots of areas.

Please check out their website at www.thejunglebody.com.au for any more
information.

The photos wanted from this we’re of course fitness themed, showing their
AMAZING toned bodies, clearly a product of countless hours dancing and bobbing
and stretching.

Ive posted some behind the scenes pictures of this shoot before, just
thought I would share with you some of the final photos

(These photos are off their website, so if you go there, you can see them
in context)
