Feathers & Fur

I am really digging feathers and fur right now (faux of course). I know
this is silly, as we are in hot weather – today is 33’C people!

BUT, I would love to have some more fur collars or feathered stuff. By
stuff I mean tops and maybe a dress or two. Feathers are so elegant, and can
really add an extra touch to an outfit, and glam up some evening wear.

I'm loving these photos right now as well;

It would be cool to have a nice fur collar, I have an old vintage one, its in a shade of blue / dark green - hard to describe, but also its a little too wide for my frame and sits a bit funny. I really like feathers, I have an awesome pair of very long chain & feather earring. Maybe some more along those lines.




Feathers can be very over the top though, beware you don't go out looking like a bird!

Fashion Illustration

If you didn't know already, I love fashion illustration. I wish we saw more of this in magazines and whatnot. 




I used to love my mums old school sewing patterns that you could buy from Spotlight and the drawing on the front for the outfits. 

 I might just note, my mum isn't that old, I'm pretty sure sewing pattern envelopes are practically vintage now. They were her mums (my grandmothers) and most likely, a few of them her mums! (My great grandmother). You know the ones I mean! 




Anyway, much more amazing and creative and jaw-dropping now, fashion illustration has gone digital and is done in so many mediums. There are some stunners I spotted a while ago;
